POSITION: CLIENT SERVICES ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
CONTRACT: FULL-TIME FIXED TERM
In pursuit of the ideals of excellence and diversity, the University of Pretoria wishes to invite applications for the following vacancy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Petty cash management and cashiering
- Data capturing of information and management systems entries
- Day-to-day administration related to Client Services Department
- Coordination and maintenance of departmental equipment
- Serve as a central point of liaison with other departments and clients at reception
- Financial administration including processing of purchase orders, invoicing of clients, ordering stock, and performing stock counts.
- Serve as the TuksSport messenger to collect and deliver materials.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12
- 2 years’ experience in:
- office administration and reception
- 1 year experience in:
- cashiering or petty cash management
- data capturing
- Driver’s license
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES):
- Office management skills
- Telephone & communication skills (English)
- Administrative skills
- Filing & organizing
- Management of diary & calendar
- Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe & Internet and e-mail
- Record keeping & data capturing
- Proficiency in using technology and software relevant to information and database management
ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES:
- Certificate in Office Administration
- Knowledge of information and management systems
- Previous experience in a sporting environment
Please note this position includes an all-inclusive remuneration package commensurate with the incumbent’s level of appointment, qualification, and experience.
The incumbent will be appointed on a fixed-term contract with the necessary performance clauses clearly stipulated.
