As an ongoing recruitment effort, Trafalgar Financial Services is in search of a dynamic candidate with a passion for the property industry to join our team as a Building Insurance Policy Administrator.
Responsibilities:
- Replacement value Surveys with the renewal process
- Administrator to check when the last RVS was done and if the client is due for a new RVS
- Where an updated RVS is required, quotes to be obtained and sent with the renewal
- Obtaining alternate quotations for the renewal process
- Once the renewal invites and claims history is received from the insurer, alternate quotations must be requested
- When sending out the renewal, the alternate quotations must accompany the renewal notice
- Where another insurer has offered a better premium, administrator must approach current insurer to offer the opportunity to match the offering prior to sending out the renewal notice to the client
- Once renewal has been sent out, ensure that a follow up is done in the second week, to confirm acceptance of renewal
- Ensure that renewals sent have been followed up
- Ensure clients acknowledge receipt of the renewal
- Once the Replacement Value Survey is received the date of last survey to be updated on Unibase
- Feedback with a breakdown of current values vs. RVS suggested values to be sent to the client
- Follow up on feedback from Trustees/Directors as to how they wish to proceed.
- Where they are currently under-insured this must be highlighted as this poses a risk to the client in the event of a large claim
- Ensure that all requested endorsements are done and sent to the insurer
- The insurer must confirm premium matching prior to the endorsement being to the client
- All correspondence to be EDS
- Management to be alerted to requests for claims histories
- Retention to be done if client looking around
- Must request alternate quotes
- Send quotes to the client prior to sending claims history
- Ensure the plans are received and a signed brokers appointment
- Plans are needed to load the PQ
- Signed Brokers Appointment appoints TFS as the broker, and this is used to cancel the existing cover
- Make sure that once incepted all is checked
- Then send the necessary to the client with welcome letter, new policy schedule and policy wording
- Ensure the RVS quotes are requested
- Get contact details for the valuer to attend to the RVS
- Always ensure that all correspondence relating to any policy is filed on Grail
- Ensure that queries are dealt with timeously and quickly
- Should a client request a meeting, advise management
- Where comfortable and confident, administrator can attend the meeting
Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Grail - advantage
- Matriculation
- Own transport
- RE5 qualification
- Minimum 5 years experience required in underwriting / policy administration
