As the Transport Manager based in Cape Town city centre, you will be responsible for the day to day running of this spesific client's transport operation. You will manage, supervise and coordinate staff duties, activities and responsibilities. Your strong administration skills and attention to detail and ability to adhere to all protocols is what we are looking for.

Your Qualifications:
- Matric with a relevant qualification
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the transport industry
- Valid Driver's License - Code 10 to your advantage
Your Skillset:
- Excellent command of the English language - both written and verbal
- Ability to communicate with students, staff, managers and more
- Prior experience working in a Transport office - managing a fleet
- Experience in scheduling routes, vehicle maintenance and employee management
- Strategic planning background in relation to the transport industry
- Strong budgeting skills
- Experience in working with a variety of GPS tracking, incident monitoring, video and incident applications
- Strong computer skills
Duties:
- Day to day management of the transportation department on this account
- Management of vehicles, drivers
- Develop and understand routes, scheduling of vehicles and drivers
- Conform to all laws and regulations
- Attend regular meetings and training
- Reports
- Develop after hours activity lists and routes and weekend duty lists and routes
- Develop and keep current the Transport Incident Report, Policies and Procedures and ensure compliance
- Manage incidents requiring employee discipline
- Prepare the pick-up and drop-off schedules
- Order and manage diesel/petrol cards
- Manage and reconcile petty cash
- Manage vehicle repairs, fleet cards and maintenance
- Keep current with and maintain an awareness of the Transport industry
- Maintain safety standards to ensure copliance with insurance regulations
- Communicate to all parties with respect to enquiries, complaints and special requests
- Identify training needs
- General other duties assigned to Transport Manager role
