A Well-established Employers Organisation has an opportunity for an experienced IR Consultant to join them on a permanent basis. Offices are based in Muckleneuk, Pretoria area. This is a hybrid position with working hours from Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 16:00.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance on labor law matters to clients
- Represent clients in CCMA proceedings, including conciliation, mediation, and arbitration
- Assist clients in drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws
- Conduct investigations into workplace disputes and grievances
- Develop strategies for resolving labor disputes and minimizing legal risks for clients
- Keep abreast of changes in labor legislation and provide updates to clients as necessary
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver comprehensive HR and legal solutions
- Prepare and present training sessions on labor law topics for clients and internal staff
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to client cases
Minimum Requirements
- LLB degree or equivalent in Law would be highly advantageous
- 2+ years working experience within the same or similar role dealing with the CCMA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with employment legislation and regulations in South Africa
