Credit Analyst is a professional role that specializes in analyzing and assessing the creditworthiness and investment potential of affordable housing intermediary funding proposals. The primary role of the analyst involves conducting in-depth financial analysis of businesses or organizations to evaluate their credit risk and investment prospects. This is done by conducting detailed analysis of the financial statements, income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets to assess the financial health and stability of potential borrowers. The analyst examines factors such as the borrower's financial history, industry trends, market conditions, financial forecasts, and collateral. Through this, a recommendation is made on the likelihood of a borrower defaulting on their loan obligations with appropriate risk-based pricing.
Duties & Responsibilities
- B Com Degree or similar in a financial related qualification. Postgraduate qualification/certificate would be advantageous.
- At least NQF7 finance related qualification.
- 3-5 years’ experience in the credit, property or financial sector.
