Honda Racing Corporation has been established in the UK in 2024 as a European base for its F1 activities.
The PR Specialist will support the PR Manager in the implementation of both internal and external communication strategies. This includes contributing to external communication channels such as traditional PR activities and new media approaches such as social media platforms and company websites. In addition, the role will support internal communications by delivering engaging motorsports stories via intranet and e-mail. For proper performance of duties, F1 race attendance will be required. The PR Specialist is required to attend most race events within the race season, with some cover across the wider Honda Racing PR Team.
Responsibilities include:
• Supporting the PR Manager to plan and implement public relations programs and activities
• Work with outside agencies for PR business such as Social Media agencies and video content creatives, as necessary.
• Support with and execute media events, interviews and conferences etc.
• Undertake communication delivery and research and reflect learnings to support continuous improvement proposals.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Public Relations and Media
• Have a good understanding of media needs and media relationships.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Accuracy in document creation with attention to detail.
• The ability to keep information confidential.
• Ability to write press releases, manage media relations and field media enquiries in a timely manner.
• Story writing skills and knowledge of unique aspects of each social media.
Industry Experience;
• Experience in similar roles in fast paced environments required.
• Motorsport or F1 PR experience would be highly valued but not essential.
• The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic learner to build industry and company knowledge quickly.
