ENVIRONMENT: A global consultancy focused on software engineering and data science is seeking a Technical Service Delivery Manager / NOC Application Manager. This role involves managing and ensuring smooth operation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications. The individual will oversee the full application lifecycle, from development through deployment and ongoing support, ensuring all software applications run efficiently and meet performance standards. DUTIES: Responsible for maintaining and overseeing the development, testing, deployment, and management of software applications Primary responsibility is to ensure that all software applications are running smoothly and function correctly. This includes overseeing the entire application lifecycle, from development to deployment and maintenance. Work closely with other IT professionals, including developers, testers, and support staff, to ensure that all applications meet the organizations needs Responsible for ensuring that all applications are kept up to date with the latest security patches to protect the organization from security breaches. Ensure that all applications comply with company policies, such as data privacy and security, and are in line with industry standards. Application Manager - key duties and responsibilities include managing and overseeing application development, collaborating with IT teams and stakeholders, supervising and mentoring team members, ensuring Application performance and reliability, conducting risk assessments, and implementing security measures, and managing budgets and resources Bring in efficiency of operations through automations. Maintain the application matrix for upgrades and patches across all systems. REQUIREMENTS: Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of network operations, systems architecture, and network monitoring tools. Proficiency with application monitoring and management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios, Dynatrace and Nexthink ). Experience with databases, application servers, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with networking protocols, basic routing and switching and Network Monitoring tools Leadership & Management: Proven experience managing and mentoring technical teams. Strong decision-making skills, particularly under pressure during incident management. Ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple teams and departments. ATTRIBUTES: Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly resolve application issues. Analytical skills to perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to create clear and concise documentation and reports.
