Key Account Consultant
Cape Town - Milnerton
Key Responsibilities:
•Build and maintain strong relationships with Big Box stores to foster trust and loyalty.
•Retain and expand the Big Box customer base by achieving and maximizing sales, profitability, and growth targets.
•Investigate, track, and resolve customer concerns, identifying trends and implementing effective solutions.
•Deliver informative presentations of products and ranges to clients, showcasing their value and benefits.
•Analyse sales data to identify weak areas and develop strategic plans to address them, setting clear goals for improvement.
•Develop key account sales plans for assigned accounts, aligning strategies with customer needs and growth targets.
•Stay abreast of the agricultural industry landscape and competitor activity to inform decision-making and strategy.
•Profile customer requirements and coordinate internally to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and service delivery.
•Establish and strengthen customer satisfaction, with a strong focus on maximizing profitability across the customer base.
•Demonstrate a deep understanding of customers' businesses and offer value propositions in line with growth targets.
•Analyse actual sales performance compared to budgets and targets, implementing contingency plans as needed.
•Achieve sales targets through proactive sales efforts and effective relationship management.
•Liaise closely with internal teams to fulfill urgent orders and communicate customer requirements effectively.
•Utilize promotional planning and analysis skills to drive impactful marketing initiatives.
•Take ultimate responsibility for the sell-out of products to end-users, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
•Proactively manage stock levels to prevent aged stock and optimize profitability.
Qualification Requirements
•Matric
•At least 3 to 5 years in Key Accounts
•The successful candidate must have sales experience, preferably in the hardware, electrical, and industry specifying products and overseeing the project from start to finish.
•Valid Driver’s License (Own vehicle required)
•Extensive experience in customer relationship management
•Excellent MS Excel and analytical skills
•Travelling is an inherent requirement of the job. The successful candidate must be able to do overnight traveling during weekdays if and when required. Operational requirements may necessitate working overtime from time to time as well as every second Saturday and or when required for customer events etc.
