COMMERCIAL AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ATTORNEY

SALARY DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate for this role is generally responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for various business transactions, such as partnerships, leases, sales agreements, as well as the handling of disputes in the field of intellectual property law etc.
Minimum requirements:
* Law degree from reputable university
* Admitted attorney in South Africa in good standing with the LPC
* Fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law
* 3 years of relevant experience in the role
* Generally attending competently and successfully to all aspects of IP dispute work, including:
* Drafting of letters of demand
* Filing and management of South African trade mark oppositions; and handling foreign dispute matters with correspondent attorneys
* Attending to advisory work in relation to trade marks, copyright, domain names, company name objections etc.
