Position: Wellness Co-ordinator
Introduction:
A full day position for 40 hours per week is available for a Wellness Coordinator, in the vicinity of Mooinooi, in North West Province, reporting to the Unit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for rendering quality Occupational Health Care Service, including Primary Healthcare and Wellness services at Life Health Solutions clinic on a mining site, which is effective and efficient, meets and exceeds the Client’s expectations and requirements.
Critical Outputs:
- Assist the Unit Manager with the implementation of clinic related healthcare systems and programs relating to Primary Healthcare, Chronic Illness, HIV, TB and Wellness management.
- Compile and implement a Primary Healthcare, Chronic Illness, HIV, TB and Wellness Management Program, which includes testing, monitoring, referral and follow-up.
- Conduct examinations, tests and where applicable, treatment, relating to Primary Healthcare, Chronic Illness, HIV, TB and Wellness.
- Establish fitness to work, with feedback to the line managers or referral to the on-site OMP, should a problem be identified.
- Assist with the compiling of information and data, for feedback, on identified health problems and trends identified and progress with regards to the on-site Chronic Illness Monitoring, TB, HIV and Wellness program.
- Assist with compiling of accurate written and statistical feedback reports at specified intervals. This would include DOH and DMR reports, as required.
- Assist with the updating of relevant registers.
- Assist with the implementation of wellness days and health awareness and education drives.
- Work effectively within a pre-determined budget.
- Assist with the delivery of high-quality primary healthcare, wellness, TB, HIV and STI management.
- Comply with stock control measures and requirements, including the ordering of stock.
- Comply with all relevant administration related duties and functions.
- Comply with prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life Health Solutions and the Client.
- Assist with the compliance to quality programs of internal quality, client and external audits.
- Work effectively within a team.
- Ensure the total satisfaction of our clients through continuous improvement and added value.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards including internal and external audits (Life Health Solutions as well as client audits).
Requirements:
- Qualifications: A diploma or degree in General Nursing, and Primary Health Care; Occupational Health Nursing Qualification will be an added advantage.
- A relevant qualification in Wellness Management.
- Two to 3 years’ experience in the provision of Primary Health and Wellness services, in an Occupational Health and Mining Clinic.
- Certificate in dispensing.
- Certificate in HIV testing and Counselling, treatment of TB and STI’s.
- Relevant and up to date registration with SANC.
- Computer literacy (Ms Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Own accommodation and transport.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
