National Operations Manager
Redheads Engineering Solutions (Pty) Ltd is seeking to employ a dynamic National Operations Manager to join their team. This company specializes in the sales, manufacturing, and installation of tombstones. The ideal candidate must possess a robust background in manufacturing or production.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility of the National Operations Manager is to implement effective processes and procedures across the organization.
- This includes formulating strategies, enhancing performance, procuring resources, and ensuring compliance.
- The role entails mentoring team members, enhancing customer service quality, and promoting best practices at all levels.
- Ultimately, the National Operations Manager is entrusted with ensuring the factories maintain compliance, efficiency, and profitability.
- Compiling and implementing documented Standard Operating Procedures.
- Overseeing operations across three factories.
- Enhancing operational systems and processes.
- Managing inventory and efficiency.
- Ensuring legal compliance.
- Setting strategic objectives.
- Maintaining quality controls.
- Supervising staff.
Reporting to top management, the National Operations Manager directly oversees operational staff.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
- Less than 6-8 years of experience in manufacturing or a related area.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete product manufacturing.
- Proven track record as Operations Manager or similar role.
- Proficiency in organisational effectiveness and operations management.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Knowledge of business and financial principles.
- Background in manufacturing or production.
- Familiarity with various industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and achieve goals with extensive experience and judgment.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of labor legislation and health & safety procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of organisational management systems, including policies and procedures across financial, administrative, operational, and HR domains.
