Duties: - Oversee and manage the budgeting and forecasting processes within the Short Term Insurance context, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare board packs and facilitate presentations for senior management forums, providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations.
- Drive the management reporting process, delivering timely and accurate financial information to key stakeholders.
- Lead the Annual Financial Statements process, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors to ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Engage and manage relationships with internal and external audit stakeholders, facilitating audits and addressing findings promptly.
- Utilize strong project management skills to oversee and execute finance-related projects, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: - Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Accounting
- CTA
- CA(SA)
Experience: - 15+ years of progressive experience in senior finance roles within the Insurance industry.
- In-depth knowledge and expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, internal controls, board pack preparation, management reporting, annual financial statements, audit management, and project management within a finance context.
- Demonstrated success in navigating complex functional environments and delivering results.
