Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and uphold financial policies and procedures for regulatory compliance and best practices
- Create and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and regularly update senior management
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of company financial records
- Manage shareholder expectations and proactively communicate any issues
- Provide guidance and support to finance team for efficient operations
- Oversee real estate management, including lease negotiations and store expansions
- Prepare store viabilities for board presentation
- Manage risk activities including insurance and forex management
- Review legal contracts, supplier terms, and SLAs
- Foster close collaboration with retail operations and supply chain
- Analyze financial data, offering strategic insights and recommendations to senior management
- Manage company cash flow, ensuring appropriate allocation and investment
- Drive continuous improvement of company gross profit
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial goals with overall business objectives
- Implement financial strategies supporting growth and profitability
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of post-article experience
- Experience in the retail and/or property industry
- Intermediate to advanced level Excel is highly advantageous
- Experience with Xero is advantageous
