Business Development Manager
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Johannesburg. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating leads, building relationships, closing deals with clients, and growing the CSP and MSP segments of the client. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, fostering relationships with potential clients, and enhancing the company's presence in the CSP and MSP markets. They will also be accountable for researching market needs and negotiating contracts. The role allows for flexibility and some work from home is acceptable.
Duties & Responsibilities
Market Research and Strategy Development:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential CSP and MSP clients.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the CSP and MSP markets.
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with CSPs and MSPs.
- Understand client needs and offer solutions and support.
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales pipeline.
- Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
- Coordinate with the marketing department to drive lead generation.
Product Knowledge:
- Develop a deep understanding of the clients products and services, particularly those relevant to CSPs and MSPs.
- Educate potential clients on how our services meet their needs.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, support, and product development, to achieve sales goals.
- Provide feedback from clients to assess possible refinements to existing products and the need for new products.
Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.

Desired Experience & Qualification
- Experience in sales, business development, and account management.
- Proven work experience (minimum 5 years) in business development or sales, specifically in the CSP and MSP sectors.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, managed services, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure solutions, cloud computing, and cybersecurity trends.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include experience with public sector accounts, knowledge of local market trends, and fluency in multiple languages.
