Main role responsibilities:
- Keeping books for some foreign entities in Xero.
- Accounts Receivable: monthly invoicing and assist with credit control as and when required.
- Accounting for GST/VAT and drafting returns.
- Collating payroll information and liaising with accountant and employees, finalising payroll schedule for the entity and preparing bank file where needed.
- Accounts Payable: Processing purchase invoices, preparing payment run and setting up bank payments.
- Maintaining financial excel spreadsheets.
- Preparation of month end accounts, which involves entity and group related month end adjustments and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and currency conversions.
- Assisting the team in variety of tasks across the group both as regular tasks and ad hoc requests; this could be processing transactions of another entity, preparing intercompany charges, assisting with some HR matters, participating in various team projects.
- Taking ownership of some office administrative tasks.
- Expense monitoring and expense accounting.
- Preparing bank payments.
- Assisting in preparing monthly and annual accounts.
Candidate skills and requirements: - SAIPA qualified.
- Dealing with international groups operating with multiple currencies is a must.
- Articles completed.
- Fluency in professional standard English.
- Must have experience working as an accountant of minimum 5 years.
- You will be part or fully qualified accountant.
- You will have experience working within accounts (management and year end), payroll and finance role.
- You will have excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- You will have strong IT skills, with working Excel knowledge; experience with a cloud accounting system will be an advantage.
- You will be organised, confident and have a high degree of personal integrity.
- You will be self-motivated with a "can do" attitude and good time management skills, comfortable dealing with incomplete information and meeting tight deadlines.
- You will be experienced with working in a team as well as using your own initiative.
- You will be confident, outgoing and happy to interact with individuals, businesses and authorities, inside and outside the organisation.
Language Requirements: • Fluent English is essential.
