RPO Recruitment's client, in the logistics industry, is currently seeking a Fleet Controller/Costing Clerk to join their team in Cape Town. The Fleet Controller/Costing Clerk will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the company's fleet of vehicles. This includes monitoring vehicle maintenance, scheduling repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles are operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track the company's fleet of vehicles to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and expenses
- Manage fuel consumption and cost tracking to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce overall costs
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, maintenance, and repairs
- Assist with the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives related to fleet management
- Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in fleet management or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management software
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
