In pursuit of these goals, we seek an exceptional Digital Marketer to play a pivotal leadership role within our Marketing team. This position extends beyond traditional marketing duties, encompassing significant leadership responsibilities as the second in command to our Marketing Manager.
The ideal candidate will combine creative expertise with strong leadership skills, poised to drive our content strategy and oversee essential marketing functions. You will ensure that our messaging resonates powerfully with our diverse clientele and aligns seamlessly with our strategic objectives. Additionally, you will provide crucial support in managing the department's daily operations and spearheading long-term initiatives when needed.
Responsibilities
As a Digital Marketer at DotActiv, you'll have the following responsibilities:
Strategic Content Development
- Develop and execute content strategies aligned with short- and long-term marketing targets.
- Create and manage content calendars to ensure regular content delivery across various platforms.
- Produce, edit, and refine blog articles, social media posts, ebooks, and case studies that reflect the DotActiv brand voice and appeal to our target audiences. Coordinate with internal and external contributors as needed to enrich our content.
Leadership and Team Management
- Act as the point of contact and lead the marketing team when the Marketing Manager is absent or unavailable.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ensure team alignment with the company's marketing strategies and objectives.
Cross-Team Collaboration and Integration
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop content briefs, website page layouts, and marketing campaigns.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure brand consistency and cross-functional alignment.
Analytics and Optimization
- SEO Strategy and Implementation: Implement search engine optimization (SEO) best practices to enhance content visibility and search engine ranking. This includes optimizing content with targeted keywords, meta descriptions, and more as well as ensuring website architecture and navigation are optimized for SEO.
- Technical SEO: Monitor and resolve any technical SEO issues in collaboration with website developers, ensuring the website’s architecture supports optimal search engine indexing and performance. Actively coordinate with the website developers to implement any site adjustments and updates when necessary.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze content performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and HubSpot to optimize future content strategies and measure return on investment. Regularly report these insights to the Marketing Manager, suggesting adjustments based on current SEO trends and analytics.
Innovation and Engagement
- Innovate content delivery by exploring new formats and tools that enhance reader/viewer engagement.
- Engage with the audience through various channels to gather feedback and insights, which can inform future content creation and marketing strategies.
- Proactively pursue link building opportunities to strengthen our SEO and expand our online presence. This includes guest posting on reputable platforms and establishing partnerships for content exchange.
What We Expect From You
In our quest to find the right candidate to fill this critical position, we need to ensure they have the required skills to perform the job.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing or content creation , with proven strategic planning and team leadership capabilities.
- Proven experience with SEO, including both On-Page and Off-Page optimization , and the ability to collaborate with technical teams on site optimizations.
- Experience in developing comprehensive content strategies that encompass all stages of the buyer’s journey.
- Proven ability to create high-quality content for a variety of platforms (blogs, social media, ebooks, etc.), with a focus on engaging and converting target audiences.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, WordPress, and others relevant to the role.
- Advanced proficiency with HubSpot, including experience in building workflows, managing lists, and orchestrating content-driven campaigns to enhance marketing automation capabilities.
