Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer. The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Leading the Group’s financial team.
• Take responsibility for the overall financial function of the Group.
• Participate in and setting the strategic direction of the Group.
• Devise and implement the strategy, goals, and targets for the financial function in line
with Group and Allied Cluster strategy.
• Build relationships with relevant stakeholders including Shareholders, Bankers,
Auditors, Regulatory Authority, peers across the Bidvest Services Division.
• Maintain and improve financial systems, procedures, processes, and infrastructure.
• Ensure that Laundry Group meets its regulatory and legal obligation in general but
specifically related to the financial aspects of the business.
• Ensure that Finance Team delivers in line with specific deadlines amongst others.
o Group Financial Reports, Year-End Financials, Internal Audit
Information, External Audit Compliance, Budgets, Risk Reports, Tax
Submissions and Sustainability Reports.
• Drive and maintain tax compliance throughout the Group including VAT,
PAYE, ETI, Learnership Allowances and Company Tax.
• Fulfil fiduciary duties as a Director on the Board
• Provide advice and support to the board and CEO on strategic objectives of
company.
• Managing process for forecasts, budgets, and preparation of all financial reporting
• Management of working capital
Required qualifications/attributes/skills:
• Relevant Financial qualification at an appropriate level for the seniority of the
position.
• Extensive experience in all aspects of the financial function as required in the
position.
• Extensive working knowledge and experience in using Excel and Financial computer
based systems.
• Experience in tax management and Company restructuring advantageous.
• A good understanding of the BBBEE codes of good practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and administrative skills and ability.
• Proven track record in building and leading a team.
• Proven track record in meeting deadlines and delivering under pressure.
• Driver’s licence and own transport.
• Clean credit and criminal record.
Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:
• Chartered Accountant qualification (CA.SA);
• Previous experience as a Chief Financial Officer or similar position.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, engineering or output-based industries will be
advantageous.
