We are looking for an enthusiastic Barman at our Japanese Restaurant, Hoseki, at Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa, to provide an excellent guest drinking experience, who will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons;
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks and snacks;
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations;
- Mix and prepare ingredients for cocktails.
- Plan and present bar menu;
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies;
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience;
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations & ensure minimum losses;
- Maintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all bar areas;
- Check drinks presentations and temperature to make sure of its quality;
- Ensure everything in the bar is set-up and ready for service, including the coffee stations and all machines;
- Assist management in taking bar stock.
Main Requirements:
- Preferably 3+ years previous experience as a Barman;
- Ability to travel to and from the property for late shifts as required;
- Passionate about the hospitality industry;
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, written and verbal (in person and telephonic);
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent people skills;
- Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments and across cultures and religions;
- Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele;
- Honesty, flexibility, accountability and friendliness;
- Professional manner and attitude;
- Punctual & self-disciplined;
- Extreme attention to detail;
- Basic computer and administration skills.
