Santam's Merit Claims division has a position available for Manager: Merit Motor Claims. This position will be based in Parktown and will report to the National Manager: Merit Claims.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the role will be to manage the team of Motor Merit Claims Service Assessors responsible for investigation component of suspicious and potential fraudulent claims. Ensuring that all flagged and segmented Motor Claims are comprehensively investigated to achieve conclusive results and co-ordinating all claims investigation efforts and all other relevant stakeholders e.g. Forensic Services, Insurance Crime Bureau (SAICB).
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Manages and leads a team of Merit Claims Assessors
- Ensure on-going development of resource by mentoring, guidance and both formal and informal training.
- Ensuring effective management of high quality standards.
- Reporting on effective management of claims.
- Drive customer centricity in line with the Santam way.
- Prioritise, allocate, manage and monitor investigation of high merit risk claims.
- Effective merit claims investigation of appropriate quality.
- Consultation with clients, Third parties, Business and Business Partners on a continuous basis.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Matric/Grade 12
- Degree in Legal or Forensic Qualification will be advantageous
- Advanced knowledge of short term insurance industry
- Relevant experience in the investigation of fraudulent claims
