TFG Design and Manufacturing are forming a New Denim Design & Merchandising Team that will be supplying the entire group with a local QR opportunity for denim on a very fast lead time as well as a research & product development focus. As part of forming this team we require a Denim Pattern Designer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create Denim Patterns on computer using Lectra and available references, keeping in mind the specific shrinkages on denim as well as specific needs by factory based on automated machinery.
- Liaise with Designer on requirements.
- Communicate with Sample Room on requirements.
- Measure Garments.
- Grading.
- Attend Fit Sessions with Designer.
- Liaise with retail Technologist.
- Handle queries from factories.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric.
- Has proven competency in Denim Pattern Making & Grading (3-5 years).
- Experience with the Lectra Windows system would be advantageous.
- Garment Construction Knowledge specific to Denim.
