Introduction
Are you a skilled finance professional looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization? We are currently seeking a dedicated Group Accountant to join our team and play a key role in our financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for the group.
- Processing entries and conducting balance sheet reconciliations for entities within the group.
- Preparation of year-end audit files and supporting the audit process.
- Reviewing and posting monthly journals to ensure accurate financial records.
- Managing income tax returns per entity and addressing ad-hoc tax queries.
- Oversight of Stats SA and annual CIPC return completion and submission.
- Managing the group's treasury function and bank administration.
- Preparation and uploading of Budgets.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum qualification of a 3-year finance degree.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and taxation matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with JDE (EnterpriseOne) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of General Ledger and management account preparation.
- Familiarity with IFRS and financial control practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to address complex financial challenges.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Ability to work as a proactive team player in a fast-paced environment.
