Key Responsibilities: Conduct guided game drives, walking safaris, and bush walks, providing guests with a safe and informative experience. Share extensive knowledge of local flora, fauna, and the surrounding ecosystem with guests, offering educational insights and stories. Maintain a high standard of guiding ethics, ensuring respect for wildlife and conservation principles. Assist with lodge activities, guest interactions, and hosting duties as required. Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of safari vehicles and equipment. Adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being of guests during activities. Assist with monitoring and reporting wildlife sightings and behavior as part of conservation efforts. Requirements: FGASA Level 2 qualification (Field Guide Association of Southern Africa). Valid First Aid Certificate. PDP (Professional Driving Permit) is essential. Proven experience as a field guide in a luxury lodge setting. Excellent communication and storytelling skills with a passion for sharing knowledge about the natural world. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds. A commitment to conservation and a respect for nature and wildlife.
