Job Description
Key Responsibilities for the Supply Chain Expert include the following:
- Analyse and optimise supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with organisational goals and market demands.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and coordination of supply chain activities.
- Utilise advanced data analysis tools to monitor supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply chain operations.
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices, applying relevant insights to ongoing projects.
- Communicate supply chain strategies and performance metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences, providing actionable recommendations.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate for the Supply Chain Expert must have the following experience:
- Experience in digital transformation projects within supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with supply chain sustainability practices and green logistics.
- Knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies in supply chain operations.
- Experience within the IT industry and understands the agriculture industry.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or related areas, preferably in a corporate or technology-focused environment.
- Proficiency in supply chain optimisation techniques and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using statistical software and supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
