What We're Looking For: As our Bookkeeper , you will play a crucial role in managing our day-to-day financial transactions. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be key in helping us achieve our financial goals.
What You'll Do:
- Process all income, expense, asset & liability journals as required for the accounting records to reflect accurately.
- Process the cashbooks.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Reconcile intercompany loan accounts.
- Prepare and post standard journals.
- Prepare and post payroll journals.
- Daily bank reconciliation.
- Raise multiple Sales Invoices daily.
- Check the trial balance for correct allocations.
- Reconcile Debtors control.
- Reconcile Creditors Control.
- Overall responsibility to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records (trial balance) on Xero.
- Ensure all monthly deadlines are met for month end cut-off.
- Prepare the audit file and audit schedules as requested by the external auditors.
- Prepare the Vat 201 and ensure that VAT is paid on time.
- Ensure that receipts of VAT are filled and that any discrepancies are followed up.
- Prepare the EMP201 and ensure that PAYE is paid on time.
- Prepare other reports for management as requested.
- General office duties.
The Skills You Will Need:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in working on Xero.
- Experience in working with multiple companies.
- Role entails 5 companies: 2 Medium size and 3 Small companies.
Qualifications:
Accounting/Bookkeeping Diploma.
