Position Overview:
The Head of Commercial Operations is responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day commercial operational activities and marketing strategies. This role involves strategic planning, managing commercial operational and marketing processes, and leading teams to drive productivity, growth, and brand visibility. Use marketing plans to attract potential clients and retain existing ones. The ideal candidate will ensure that all commercial operational and marketing efforts are aligned with the company's goals and brand identity.
Essential Job Functions:
- Strategic Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial operational and marketing strategies that align with the company's goals.
- Continuously assess and improve commercial operational processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Understand and identify trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
- Analyse market trends and commercial operational performance to recommend changes to strategies based on analysis and feedback.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, manage, and coach a diverse team of professionals.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and accountable team environment.
- Set clear objectives and goals for teams and track their progress.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team.
- Process and Campaign Management:
- Oversee the development and implementation of optimal operational policies and marketing needs.
- Determine the need, and where required, implement marketing strategies and materials, such as social media plans, brochures, newsletters, and website content.
- Resource Management:
- Manage the allocation of resources to ensure optimal productivity.
- Track expenditures and provide regular reports on activities, performance, and budget utilisation.
- Brand and Quality Management:
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels.
- Maintain and enhance the company's brand image and reputation.
- Implement quality control measures for commercial operational activities and continuously monitor performance.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of commercial operational and marketing activities with company objectives, including a unified approach to client engagement and communication.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders regarding performance and strategic initiatives.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate operational and marketing risks.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial operations and marketing management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
