Test and Applications Support Engineer
Fulltime – (Junior Up to £30,000/Experienced – DOE) – Cheltenham – 37.5 hours weekly.
An exciting opportunity has become available for Junior Engineer with testing experience or a more experienced Test Engineer. The Test and Applications Support Engineer will be customer focussed and responsible for efficient testing facilities, procedures and supporting projects.
The role:
- Technical Customer Support, liaising with customers and conducting testing
- Work collaboratively with inter group projects, and with the Project Engineers on NPI & CPI testing to required standard. Documentation entered onto CRM consistently.
- Takes ownership of the continuous improvement and development of the testing facility
- Provide audit test support and support on project product resourcing.
- Support the development of test plans and procedures for hardware products
- Coordinate external certification and accreditation of products
- Ensure adherence to company Health & Safety requirements and housekeeping standards.
The Person:
- One year experience in technical customer support OR testing related role – proactive, not reactive. Would suit an inquisitive, investigative type.
- Experience of PLM system – Team Centre Desirable
- Experience of ERP/MRP System – Microsoft AX Desirable
- Competent MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint
- Great communicator strong planning and organisational skills.
- Customer focussed, problem solver
- Hands on engineering skills and competency with power tools
- CAD Experience. UK Driving Licence. GCSE Maths & English or equivalent. Higher qualification – Desirable
