For more information about our company, visit DATE OF COMMENCEMENT This position is available immediately BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION The Workshop Manager / Mechanic will be responsible for managing and maintaining our fleet, machinery, and equipment, ensuring they are always in excellent working condition. REMUNERATION PACKAGE Salary is negotiable and will be based on the applicants qualifications and work experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\ Ensure all vehicles, machinery (e.g., mini loaders, chainsaws, lawnmowers, weed eaters), and equipment are in good working order Create and strictly adhere to service schedules Maintain communication with production managers regarding vehicle/machinery service intervals, repairs, and ongoing maintenance Keep an updated stock list of parts required for in-house maintenance Conduct monthly stock takes of all workshop tools, equipment, and machinery Source and procure parts at the best available prices Implement and manage job cards Train staff on the correct use of machinery Perform welding and fabrication as required Oversee general workshop management APPLICATION PROCESS CV Copies of your qualifications Salary expectations (please note, your latest pay slip will be requested if shortlisted) Contactable references By applying for this position, you give Contours Landscapes (PTY) Ltd permission to conduct a credit history and police clearance check. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: TERTIARY QUALIFICATION A recognised Qualified Technician/Mechanic qualification WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum 10 years mechanical experience Valid drivers license with no endorsements Financial and budgetary management experience Proven diagnostic and fault-finding skills, including completed electrical training/courses Strong document management and administrative skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure Experience in project costing and related administration Excellent teamwork and relationship-building skills Stable work history with contactable references Excellent time management skills I.T.
