Duties: - Staff management.
- Ensure all classification instructions for all shipments for all customers.
- Monitor duty deferment usage and levels.
- Monitor license/visa applications.
- Ensure all new business is transitioned correctly.
- Make 20 calls per month Retention/Sales.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance efforts and trainings.
- Promote productivity tools (e.g., using edoc, process management, customsware usage/Expo customs.
- Audit of files in accordance to AEO.
- Follow up refunds with customs authorities.
- Management of customs system.
- Send client report requests through the available database (expo request, expo reporting).
- Provide content for customer reviews duty/VAT,
- Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department.
- Review and conduct staff appraisals and one to one meeting timely in line with the 3+1 Initiative.
- Assist supervisor and key staff with goal setting and monitoring development.
Requirements: - Matric.
- 3-5 years of Customs Brokers specific knowledge.
- Global logistics industry knowledge.
- Proven problem-solving, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
