Our client is looking for a proactive and goal-oriented Business Development Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a background in export trading and a passion for identifying new business opportunities. This role requires a self-starter who thrives both independently and in collaborative team settings, with the ability to nurture client relationships and drive sales in FMCG export markets.
Responsibilities:
- Set and achieve profit targets in alignment with the Managing Director’s goals.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to expand business reach.
- Conduct successful sales negotiations, utilizing advanced negotiation skills to close deals.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service.
- Ensure compliance with market regulations in all sales and export activities.
- Travel to designated markets every 6 weeks to meet clients and explore business development opportunities.
Key Skills:
- Strong numerical skills and the ability to interpret financial figures.
- Knowledge of INCOTERMS and export logistics, with hands-on experience in both buying and selling.
- Creative, solution-oriented thinking to meet client and business needs.
- Initiative and adaptability to handle diverse customer demands.
- Ability to focus on the big picture while managing essential details effectively.
- Proficiency in French is advantageous.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in FMCG sales, particularly for export markets.
- Experience in export trading, with a solid understanding of related logistics.
