Location: Phillipi, Cape Town
Requirements:
- 5 years work experience within Supply Chain environment
- 3 years work experience as a Manager
- Exposure to both Perishables & Dry goods sheds
- Experience in client interaction on senior levels
- Willing & able to work long hours (12-hour shifts)
- Willing & able to be contactable (24/7 operations)
- Fit & in good health (Inherent physical requirements of the job)
- Able to generate Excel reports / graphs / set formulas
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing and leading a team to load and dispatch products out of the warehouse, take overall ownership of the Outbound & Transporting functions by planning and coordinating daily operations in such a manner that the processes are performed effectively, timeously and efficiently.
- Ensure vendor level of inspection is up to date and passed on to the receiving team.
- Daily management of your respective teams (supplying of focus points / measurement by inspecting the work and providing feedback).
- Process compliance (zero tolerance / fair disciplinary consequence).
- Process compliance (balance management and reporting, load adherence to plan / process and departure buckets, wrapping and strapping etc.).
- Feedback to your direct reporting line manager.
- Understanding the expectations of our client and deliver accordingly.
- Instill a culture of disciplined people, engaging in disciplined thought and taking disciplined action.
- Absolute accountability of your people as well as your area of control.
- Understand all SOPs / BPs relevant to your area of responsibility.
- Management of daily Operational KPIs through management
- Identifying risk and the proper escalation process.
- Claims proactive initiatives and plan to zero.
- Manage Transporters from a cost & productivity aspect.
- Utilize SAP to drive planning efficiencies through accurate movements with planners, looking to reduce CPC and KMs.
- Ensure YMS and timeslots on windows are adhered to.
