POSITION: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (PrEng/PrTechEng) - DURBAN

Job Description:
Electrical Engineer with a background in Industrial and infrastructure projects in the private and government sectors to join our team based out of Durban, overseeing various projects in South Africa.
Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering BEng/BSC Degree or BTech qualification
- Previous electrical engineering experience in Industrial and infrastructure projects in the private and government sectors. Proven track record
- ECSA registered as a Professional Engineer or Technologist
- Greenfields and brownfields plant design and construction experience
- Be able to work and embrace team culture with fellow peers across the various divisions.
- Provide mentorship to students and graduates
- DigSilent/ETAP Loadflow/Fault Study Modelling would be advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee Electrical engineering activities for various industrial projects in the private and government sectors to safely deliver on all company operational plans during the project execution phase;
- Engineering design in accordance with established standards and codes of practice;
- Reviewing technical documentation and defining electrical engineering requirements;
- Carrying out technical evaluations, preparation of specifications for electrical infrastructure and installations;
- Carry out feasibility and electrical power system studies;
- Attend factory acceptance tests and provide input to vendors test documentation.
- Manage and assist with plant electrical equipment and system installation and commissioning;
- Accountability for quality, risk management, financial performance, scope management and client satisfaction in all project undertaken
- Liaise with the client to ensure that agreed designs are in accordance with agreed requirements;
- Representation at client and professional meetings with the ability to present work and engage in a technical conversations in a professional manner;
