Job Description:
Financial Accountant
Location: Montague Gardens
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reconciliations:
- Prepare reconciliations between cash/card sales and bank receipts for each store.
- Rental Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Property team and landlords.
- Compile turnover rent schedules, submit them to landlords, and enter data into accounting software.
- Manage refundable deposits and guarantees.
- Debtors Management:
- Invoice and reconcile Support Office debtors.
- Send monthly statements and follow up on payments.
- General Reconciliation:
- Reconcile the General Ledger with the Property Lease schedule.
- Assist with year-end financial audits.
Experience, Education & Skills Required: - Diploma in Accounting or a similar field.
- Minimum of 2 years in a financial accounting role, ideally within the retail industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office & Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with employees, landlords, and suppliers.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and quickly learn new skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with initiative and efficiency in finding solutions.
