Job Description
A large asset management company is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Accountant to join their finance team. You'll be responsible for a multitude of deliverables within the team. The role includes future growth potential.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and maintaining financial records and documents accurately and timeously
- Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (payments/fees/general ledger/ account reconciliations)
- Co-ordinating and liaising with internal parties to support intercompany activities
- Monitoring and analysing financial data to identify discrepancies
- Preparing/assisting with the preparation of financial and departmental reports/budgets/annual financial statements
- Assisting with the preparation of company taxes
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines affecting the finances of the company
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting with Post Graduate Diploma or Honours in Accounting or similar
- Completed articles or with at least 3-5 years' work experience in a similar role in the financial sector
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
- An advantage if able to work with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Great Plains
