Job Opportunity: Leasing Administrator

We are looking for an individual to join our Leasing Administration team at our Head Office.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Interpretation and data entry of new leases into MDA, for lease information and recurring billing.
- Interpretation and data entry into MDA of ancillary documentation, such as renewals, amendments, addendums and terminations.
- Capturing all information in a timely manner with a focus on accuracy and continuity.
- Drafting renewal packs, offers to lease, leases and any supporting leasing documentation timeously and accurately.
- Working with the team to complete any Area Change Requests for leasing activity that require a unit area change.
- Have an understanding of the upcoming lease documentation and act on inputting leasing documents onto MDA to ensure accurate leasing activity.
- To ensure that the leasing activity is recorded accurately and in a timely manner to support external reporting requirements.
- Assisting with the first step in the commission calculations process.
- Communicate Lease Administration changes to the team as applicable.
- Provide support to the team when needed.
- To regularly communicate with and follow up with tenants on outstanding documentation including FICA documents.
- Assist Tenants, other leasing administrators and Centre Managers to resolve all complex tenant leasing queries.
- Keep all tenant and lease files in filing system updated and current.
- Assisting with the capturing of turnover figures.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position reports to the Head of Legal.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Practical and relevant work experience must be demonstrated in the candidate's CV.
- Contactable references are essential.
- Retail leasing experience and experience working on MDA will be advantageous.
- The candidate must have excellent English language skills (speak, read, write).
- Having Xhosa and/or Zulu language skills will be advantageous.
- The candidate must have attention to detail, be able to work in a team, adhere to company processes and take initiative when necessary.
- MS Outlook is essential. The candidate must be able to manage their email well and have a good grasp of email.
- Well-groomed, neat, flexible, reliable and organised.
- Self-Motivated.
