Junior Business and Systems Analyst
Our client is looking for an experienced, self-motivated and target driven Junior Business and Systems Analyst for their farm in the Klapmuts area.

Job Summary:
The Junior Systems Analyst will be responsible for providing support, training, maintenance, and acting as a liaison between the company and service providers for various information systems used within our agricultural business. This role will require a deep understanding of the systems, as well as the ability to facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal stakeholders and external service providers. Analysing and identifying any gaps within the departments and various systems to be addressed.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Support:
- Provide first-level support for the following information systems: Dipar Datagear, Peopleflow, Hubdoc, Payspace, Syft, Power BI, Mesh, Xero, Approval Max, Sign now, Netcash, Picsa, and Microsoft 365, Jotform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of each system to assist end-users effectively.
- Training:
- Develop and deliver training programs and materials for employees to ensure they have a solid understanding of the systems they use.
- Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to enhance system proficiency.
- System Maintenance:
- Regularly update and maintain the information systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and secure.
- Collaborate with IT and system administrators to implement patches, updates, and fixes.
- Liaison with Service Providers:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and external service providers for the supported systems.
- Coordinate communication and resolution of issues between the company and service providers.
- User Access Management:
- Manage user access and permissions within the systems to ensure data security and compliance.
- Assist in creating and revoking user accounts as needed.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports and analyze system data using Power BI to provide insights and recommendations for improving system performance.
- Design and develop a reporting dashboard for management across the business.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all supported systems, including user manuals and procedures.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- System Uptime: Maintain a high level of system uptime, with minimal downtime due to issues or maintenance.
- First-Level Support Response Time: Respond to and resolve system-related issues within established timeframes.
- User Satisfaction: Regularly gather feedback from end-users and maintain a high level of user satisfaction with system support and training.
- Training Effectiveness: Measure the effectiveness of training programs through post-training assessments and feedback from employees.
- System Security: Ensure that all supported systems are secure and up-to-date, with no security breaches.
- Issue Resolution Time: Monitor and reduce the time taken to resolve system-related issues.
- Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate smooth communication and collaboration between the company and service providers.
- Documentation Quality: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all systems.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the listed information systems is a plus.
- Certification in relevant systems and technologies is desirable.
- Power BI implementation and exposure.
- Development experience in a backend and/or frontend environment.
Requirements:
- BSc. Agriculture or similar tertiary qualification.
- Minimum of 5 -7 years practical seasonal experience in fruit production and farm management.
- Minimum of 3 -5 years in a middle management role.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office suite) and familiarity with IT systems (e.g., Power BI, Farm Trace, ACCPAC, DF Probes advantageous).
- Knowledge of all audits and cultivating plants to produce fruit to required standards.
- Good project planning and monitoring skills.
- Physically fit to perform the work.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in English or Afrikaans (ability to speak Xhosa or Sotho advantageous).
- Action-oriented approach with a strong sense of accountability.
- Willingness to work overtime, public holidays, and weekends when required.
Area: Winelands area – near Klapmuts.
Starting date: As soon as possible.
