A position is currently available for a Financial Accountant at one of their abattoirs in Volksrust.
This will involve permanent relocation or regular travelling to Volksrust from Pretoria. You will report directly to, and support, the business unit manager of the abattoir, as well as the group accountant.
You will be responsible for the full financial function of the abattoir and management of the financial department.
Requirements: - Relevant accounting degree including professional training (SAICA/SAIPA,etc), and at least 5 – 10 years professional experience.
- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
- Candidates who are members of a professional body will be given preference.
- Must hold a similar senior position currently/previously and provide details thereon.
- Thorough experience in accounting software (Accounting and Payroll).
- Prepare, interpret and present Financial statements and Management Accounts to stakeholders and auditors.
- Analyse, reconcile, investigate and report to stakeholders on internal records.
- Must have a good understanding of Tax, VAT and able to do abattoir related calculations.
- Ensure statutory compliance (SARS, DOL, WCA, CIPC, etc).
- Managing and collaboration with team members within the finance department.
