Position: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Atlantis – Western Cape
Reporting to: Demand and Replenishment Manager
Requirements of the Role:
Main responsibilities of Focus Area
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of Forklift Drivers, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations (KPI Reviews) and provide feedback to the Demand and
Replenishment manager
Stock Management:
- Conduct weekly cycle counts and monthly stock counts to maintain inventory accuracy across all finished
good stock items.
- Coordinate daily with the procurement and sales teams to ensure the timely receipt and dispatch of all
incoming stock and outgoing customer orders.
- Address and resolve any queries related to stock control that may impact the overall inventory accuracy.
- Implement and maintain a FIFO stock rotation principle to all finished goods.
- Review and manage the national stock holding off all finished goods items across all DCs nationally
Operational Efficiency:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfilment, and dispatch processes
to comply with the food safety and quality system.
- Implement and maintain best practices to optimize warehouse layout, reduce waste, and improve
workflow efficiency.
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Enforce compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working
environment.
- Address and resolve any issues related to warehouse operations that may impact customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse storage areas
Qualification:
- Grade 12
- Diploma or certification in logistics or supply chain management is preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Skills/Competencies Required:
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and Microsoft software e.g. Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
