Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled Procurement Specialist to manage our procurement processes, both locally and internationally. This role is integral to ensuring our operations run smoothly, from managing inventory to developing strong relationships with suppliers and overseeing procurement for key campaigns.
The Procurement Specialist will oversee sourcing from both import and local suppliers, manage inventory control, and foster strong supplier relationships. You will be responsible for optimising procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and supporting our marketing and operational campaigns with efficient sourcing and procurement strategies.

Here, you'll achieve results by:
●Coordinate with local and international suppliers to source high-quality products and materials, ensuring competitive pricing and delivery timelines.
●Manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimise waste or shortages.
●Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enhance collaboration, resolve issues, and negotiate favourable terms.
●Develop and implement efficient procurement processes to streamline sourcing, ordering, and inventory management.
●Support campaign management by ensuring that all necessary products and materials are sourced and available according to campaign schedules.
●Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure Starbucks South Africa follows the latest procurement best practices.
●Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
Experience and Qualifications:
●Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
●5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or inventory control.
●Strong understanding of procurement processes, including import and local sourcing, supplier management, and inventory control.
●Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
●Proficiency in Supply Chain/Logistic systems and procurement software is a plus.
●Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
●Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
