The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Graphic Designer to join our client, a leading manufacturer and retailer of luxury wellbeing products. Reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager and working as part of the Brand and Marketing team, this role will see you supporting the brand by producing creative and high-quality design concepts alongside digital and print assets to communicate the company brand identity and values. The role balances both creative execution and technical proficiency, offering the chance to work across a variety of media, including packaging, social media, video, web assets and Point of Sale materials. Contributing to forecasting, ownership, and delivery of budget targets
- Meeting with the design and brand team to brainstorm, discuss briefs and design specifications
- Keeping up-to-date and evaluating design and market trends
- Brainstorming conceptual ideas for packaging, digital and print
- Working to our brand guidelines to ensure designs accurately represent the company's brand and ethos whilst communicating to the brand audience
- Challenge and investigate design briefs and solve design problems
- Develop new and existing packaging designs from brief to completion
- Creating digital design assets for web and social media
- Creating design assets for print and POS
- Presenting final designs to internal teams and occasionally external accounts.
- Creating, assisting, and approving artwork in the absence of Artworker
- Attend trend shows and undertake competitive shops as necessary
Requirements
We would expect the successful Graphic Designer to have solid professional experience in a similar role. You will have a natural talent for design with proven experience in developing packaging, print & digital design as well as a track record in working to tight deadlines and following project trackers. You will have a strong understanding of brand and familiarity with the technicalities of brand guidelines. Strong conceptual design experience is highly desirable and experience in packaging artworking, motion graphics/video editing and illustration would be useful but not essential. Experience using Mac/iOS as well as the Adobe suite (illustrator, photoshop, InDesign, acrobat pro) is essential. Filestage experience is desirable.
