Key Responsibilities: Reserve Management: Oversee the conservation of animal and plant populations. Manage ecological monitoring, predator-prey dynamics, and security/anti-poaching programs. Coordinate with government and conservation organizations, representing the reserve at various forums. Reserve Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep of perimeter fencing, road networks, water reticulation, and waste management systems. Personnel Management: Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance, ensuring a productive and safe work environment. Administration: Manage the annual reserve budget, progress reporting, and fleet management. Estate Management: Liaise with various stakeholders, including shareholders and commercial operators, ensuring effective communication and operations. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in reserve or wildlife management. B-Tech in Nature Conservation or a similar qualification (M-Tech preferred). Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ArcView is an advantage. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience in liaising with government and community stakeholders.
