Position Overview: As Financial Controller, youll oversee the financial operations, delivering essential guidance to support our mission. This hands-on role requires a meticulous and organized approach to ensure financial integrity and implement best practices across all financial activities.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage comprehensive financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
- Ensure compliance by preparing and presenting accurate financial statements in line with regulatory and company policies.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maintain financial data integrity.
- Lead annual budgeting, providing analysis and review for senior management.
- Manage cash flow and banking relationships, ensuring optimal financial health.
- Coordinate external audits and manage the annual audit process.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making and growth.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring accurate, timely filings.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Honours preferred.
- Proficient in financial management software (Xero preferred) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Experience in SME settings with a focus on research and development is ideal.
- Power BI experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to engage across all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
