Duties - Safe equipment operation on all electrical equipment. Safety Regulations and Standards to be followed
- Effective Electrical Planned Preventive Maintenance to ensure a 100% plant availability.
- Continuous upgrading to the new facility in line with planned designs
- Problem solving on high-speed packaging machines, shrink wraps, labelling machines, coders and fillers
- Knowledge on various Variable speed drives
- New Electrical Installations (Flame proofing and Ex(d) installations,
- Maintenance and fault finding on existing electrical equipment/panels
- Utility knowledge on Boilers, Cooling Towers, Chillers and vacuum systems Conveyor Belt and Roller Systems
- Manufacturing vessels, gearboxes, motors, stirrers
- Ensures that the company procedures are always adhere to
Duties Maintenance - Checking of Portable Electrical equipment as per log sheet
- Replace factory lights Replace Administration office lights and fluorescent tubes
- Clean out electrical panels, motors and air conditioners as per schedule
- Install cables / trip wires
- Do fault finding and re-setting of machines electrical switch gears
- Carry tasks out as delegated by the Foreman from time-to-time.
- Carry out inspections on machines that are on production or on Scheduled Maintenance
- Verify functionality of the safety and quality control devices set up on machines
- Carry out checks and correct faults on Coding Machines
- Record all spares drawn out of Engineering Stores
- Record all faults reported on machines
- Record Corrective Action Taken
- Record all motors and other components that are out for repairs or modifications
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements :
- Grade 12
- Trade tested electrician
- 4 - 6 years post trade experience in FMCG
