Job Overview
As a Developer, you will play a key role in customizing, enhancing, and maintaining the SAGE X3 ERP system to meet the specific needs of our organization. Digital Transformation is a strategic focus, and as such, you will play a key role in realizing the organization’s objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Business process and Systems Alignment
- Document and communicate new requests and change requests for approval and review.
- Update business process changes in accordance with system updates and changes.
- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements.
- Design and implement solutions that streamline business processes.
- Customization: Develop and maintain custom scripts, reports, workflows, and applications within the SAGE X3 system to address business requirements.
- Integration: Integrate SAGE X3 with other systems, such as third-party applications or databases, to ensure data flow and process automation.
- Design and implement workflow processes to optimize business operations, automate tasks, and improve efficiency.
- Manage data within the SAGE X3 system, including data import/export, data transformation, and data cleansing.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including functional specifications, design documents, and user manuals.
- Testing: Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure they meet the requirements and are free of errors or bugs.
Manage calls logged with Helpdesk
- Provide hands-on system administration support, system maintenance, and operations support.
- User Support: Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and address issues related to the SAGE X3 system.
- Manage calls logged with Helpdesk.
- Ensure that calls are closed within the SLA times.
- Update all calls daily (informing the business of the status of their calls).
- Ensure that the answers to unusual problems are saved.
Training
- Provide training to end-users and colleagues on using new functionalities and features in SAGE X3.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 1-2 years of experience working on Sage (Finance, Warehouse, Distribution, Procurement, Product Builder, Manufacturing, and Planning).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, VB.NET, C#, or others relevant to the SAGE X3 platform.
- Certifications in SAGE X3 development and administration are a plus.
- Proven experience in SAGE X3 development and customization.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and business processes, particularly in areas like finance, supply chain, and manufacturing.
- Knowledge of SAGE X3 architecture and the ability to work with SAGE X3 APIs.
- Experience in integrating SAGE X3 with other systems and technologies.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Prior experience in improving User Access Management (new users, change requests, and terminations) with a focus on our internal new user audit.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
