Supply Chain Projects Manager
Umhlanga has a permanent position available for a Supply Chain Projects Manager to:
- Lead Supply Chain projects from concept to implementation & provide analysis & management reporting to support decision-making & create transparency to drive efficiencies & growth.
- Support the Supply Chain function to ensure execution of related operational processes & continuously improve the ways of working.
- Establish new ways of working to align with future needs of the management unit.
- Build & establish collaboration & exchange with all related functions within the company.
This is an EE position, & preference will be given to African & Coloured applicants.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Performance Areas:
- Work with Supply Chain leads to drive a pipeline of cost-saving initiatives.
- Implement system enhancements to drive automation & embrace digitalization.
- Continuously enhance processes to ensure a supply chain that is fit for purpose.
- Support Tenders.
- Manage projects from inception to execution within the Supply Chain space.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis in support of supply chain management decision-making.
- Lead supply chain continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage in dialogue internally & externally to understand enhancements & opportunities for improvement.
- Support in the development & implementation of corrective actions.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
- Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics, or Other Sciences.
- 7 years' experience in FMCG.
- Understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain, Lean Methodologies, or similar.
- Experience in project-based roles, with strong analytical capabilities.
- End-user skills in SAP Supply Chain modules.
