Procurement Coordinator in Agriculture and Fruit Industry
The Procurement Coordinator in the Winelands area will be responsible for implementing procurement plans, managing supply and demand forecasts, and sourcing new products from suppliers. The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in supply chain or a related field, along with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement procurement plans for supply and demand forecasts and customer orders.
- Maintain records of procurement activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure effective communication with producers.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, operations, quality assurance, and logistics to gather information and align on requirements.
- Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers.
- Work independently and act proactively.
- Adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage procurement activities, documentation, and inventory.
- Experience in using ERP systems or export systems.
- Able to multitask and prioritize.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
