CAREER OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity exists in the Brolink Human Capital Team for a Manager: People and Transformation. You will partner with the Brolink leadership team and lead the Human Capital Team to implement the business aligned HC strategy.
Key to the success of the role is the development of strategic partnerships within Brolink Business Units. This comes from understanding the department or business’ key strategic challenges and providing HC interventions to help the leaders achieve their goals and create positive and productive workplaces. This position is based in Centurion.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Develop annual HC strategic plan aligned to support Brolink Strategy
• Contribute towards the business units’ operating plan and develops a people operating plan
• Evolve plan in line with changing needs
• Track and report progress of plan to the business on a regular basis
• Identify projects and HC initiatives in line with business unit needs
• Partner with key stakeholders to get buy in and sponsorship support
• Partner with key stakeholders to ensure that all HC projects are appropriately communicated
• Co-ordinate project integration initiatives into annual plan
• Partner with Group HRBP Leads and COE to implement strategic HR plan
• Manage the HC team to achieve goals and deliver on HC initiatives
Support Brolink leadership teams on people issues
• Translate business requirements into effective HC practices delivering people solutions aligned to the
business unit objectives
• Create and develops a partnership role to line management and to the business
• Influence leadership around people agenda and issues
• Analyse HR data and interpret in terms of trends, insights and recommendations for decision making
Improve the overall people effectiveness of Brolink
• Provide high level people management advice, guidance, support
• Advise and educate on HR policies and procedures
• Implement all people processes and practices and ensure that they are legally compliant and applied fairly
• Identify potential customizable HC processes and policies, presents business case to EXCO and
oversee changes
• Support, develop and coach line managers to manage employee relations issues, using HC policies
and procedures
Shape the Brolink culture
• Ensure that Values and Leadership standards are communicated and understood at all levels in Brolink
• Clarify employee engagement expected levels and partners with the business to develop solutions to
establish and maintain these high levels of employee engagement
Facilitate organisational design and change management
• Facilitate change and transformation initiatives
• Drive transformation and change initiatives across Brolink and guide the business on the
management of risk and business impact
• Ensure effective organisational design processes and structures are implemented
Manage talent management
• Build leadership competence through coaching and guides line management on people processes to
deliver the HC Strategy
• Implement a talent management framework (including succession management)
• Identify the immediate and long-term talent issues and develops appropriate plans to address
• Develop suitable strategies to ensure talent pipelines are in place at leadership, technical and operational
levels to meet the performance and growth objectives of the business unit
• Ensure the retention of high performing and high potential employees through the proper management of
learning and development opportunities, mentoring, coaching and reward application
• Implement the employee value proposition
• Manage talent acquisition practices to ensure alignment to the talent strategy of the business unit
• Identify critical and scarce skills for business unit and develop strategies to ensure appropriate pipelines
over the short and long term
Employment Equity
• Support business in developing their EE plan (including numerical targets and AA actions)
• Facilitate the alignment of business strategy and EE plan
• Ensure execution of all initiatives in line with the BU EE Plan
Facilitate reward processes
• Manage the annual salary review process
• Identify need for reward programs and manages delivery thereof
Manage learning and development implementation
• Help implement, develop and facilitate a learning environment
• Identify learning and development needs and ensures design and delivery
• Support and manage the delivery of learning and development solutions and programs
Provide specialist Employee Relations advice and support
• Ensure policies, structures and procedures are properly communicated to all, consistently applied and
monitored to ensure co-operation and respect amongst all levels of staff
• Monitor labour trends and implement strategies and policies accordingly with emphasis on risk
management
• Design and conduct coaching and training in employee relations, labour law, negotiation skills, disciplinary
procedures, grievance and conflict resolution processes
• Manage all discipline, disputes and grievances through the required channels and according to parameters
as described in applicable collective agreements
• Protect the interests of the company by ensuring all interventions and policies are in place to mitigate any
ER risk and pave the way for labour harmony
• Identify and/ or evaluate causes of conflict and propose appropriate corrective action
• Compile reports on ER activities throughout the business unit as well as internal labour relations trends
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
•Matric;
•Postgraduate qualification in Behavioural Sciences/Business Management/ relevant HR qualification
Work Experience
Minimum Requirements:
• 5-8 years’ experience in a senior human resources role covering all areas of the function
• Experience in the financial industry would be beneficial
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Minimum Requirements:

•Knowledgeable about HR practices: recruitment, talent development, performance management, facilitation, legislation, labour relations, leadership and organisational development, change management and remuneration

Specifically, knowledge of employment practices & compliance (Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act)
•Good knowledge and understanding of HR Best practices, policies and procedures
