Buyer Position
We are looking for a buyer with 2+ years of buying experience. This is a contract role, based in Silverton, Pretoria.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Procurement Officer is responsible for the purchasing of goods within the procurement department. Experience in buying raw materials is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills within the team and with clients.
- Maintaining good relationships with clients.
- Capturing information, sending it through to the relevant departments, and following up.
- Computer literacy: this role involves a lot of PC work on basic Microsoft Office, as well as buying programs.
- At least 2 years of buying experience is required to be comfortable stepping into this role.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Matric.
- 2+ years buying experience.
- Experience buying raw materials is advantageous.
- Bilingual: English and Afrikaans.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Necessary PC knowledge: Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with buying programs.
