Reserve Manager, Sabi Sand Nature Reserve The Reserve Manager will oversee, and manage all operational aspects of the reserve, collaborating closely with departmental management teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reserve operates smoothly, sustainably, and effectively. Key Areas of Focus: Biodiversity, Conservation, and Environmental Management Safety and Security Asset Management Financial Oversight Leadership and Human Resources Development Stakeholder and Community Relations Bachelors Degree in Nature Conservation, Environmental Management, or a related field. An MSc or Masters in Conservation or a related field is preferred. 5 - 10 years of experience in a similar role managing a large, protected area, within a Big 5 Reserve environment. Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation e.g. NEMPAA, NEMBA, NEMA, POPIA and Tourism legislation. Computer Proficiency Microsoft Suite and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) - (packages include ARC, QGIS). Advanced report writing. Demonstrated experience in managing protected areas and their link to community and socio-economic projects.
