Key Performance Areas:
The position is supporting the Handyman in all aspects of the technical / mechanical side of the resort functions. Manage a team of workers, maintain equipment and assign workers to various projects. Regularly inspect sites, execute work as necessary.
Position Requirements:
- Valid matric / Grade 12 certificate and code B driver’s licence
- 2 years’ experience in a similar maintenance position
- Sound knowledge of plumbing, electrical and general maintenance of the building.
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities.
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills
The successful candidate must be prepared to work weekends, public holidays, overtime and stand in duties.
